Recognizing that the interplay of the best of Atlantic Canada and the best of Toronto has a long tradition of extending into the visual and performing arts, East Coast Connected promotes opportunities for Atlantic artists and creators through its community hub and network between the two regions.

Partnering with some of Atlantic Canada’s leading cultural institutions in the visual arts, ECC will highlight the ongoing leadership in creativity that stems from the region, enhancing the visibility and platform of emerging artists from the Atlantic region. East Coast Connected has partnered with the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia to highlight its artist in residence program bringing this program to visual arts leaders in the Toronto and national markets.

ECC will continue to promote talent circulation in arts and culture by bringing its membership to the best of Toronto’s existing Atlantic creative group. ECC members will have the opportunity to discover the best of Atlantic visual and performing arts in Toronto through a series of cultural initiatives designed to highlight regional talent creating in the GTA.

Hockey Canada's COO has New Brunswick roots

In what was East Coast Connected' first ever "Sold Out" event --- and quite apropos since there was "Standing Room Only" on February 27th, 2012 for 106 ECC members and VIP's to hear Hockey Canada's Chief Operating Officer, Scott Smith address the crowd in ECC's latest Coast & Cocktails business speakers event. Scott spoke about his passion for Atlantic Canada, the lessons that he learned from growing up in New Brunswick, how he has applied those lessons in his business career and had many hockey stories that kept the crowd mesmerized. Working hard, playing hard and being generous at ECC's second Good Cheer

On Saturday, February 4th - East Coast Connected (ECC) and presenting sponsor Alexander Keith's hosted 100+ people at the John Labatt Room Pub in downtown Toronto. It was ECC's second fundraising Good Cheer event. Not too many people complained that we sold 2 drinks for $5 all night. With a silent auction, lots of games and laughter, we lived the Atlantic Canadian theme of 'we work hard', 'we play hard' and 'we are generous', the event raised $5,000 for the Hospice Palliative Care Association of PEI. The Stanfields and Gloryhound heat things up in Toronto

Fans of Halifax rock were in for a treat on January 15th when three of Nova Scotia’s finest took to the stage at Toronto’s Legendary Horseshoe Tavern. Along with supporting Haligonian acts Gloryhound and Carmen Townsend, The Stanfields lit up the stage and shook the loud, healthy crowd with three distinctly different, but equally raucous sets. U2 To End North American Tour in Moncton

On July 30, Magnetic Hill will draw thousands of fans as U2, Arcade Fire and Carney will perform in Moncton, New Brunswick. This is the legendary band's last North American tour date for the 360* tour, and first time ever producing a show in Atlantic Canada.
