On Wednesday October 12th, ECC hosted Nova Scotia Business Inc President & CEO Stephen Lund at Heenan Blaikie's offices in Toronto. Mr. Lund addressed 63 ECC members and VIP guests about the how the Province of Nova Scotia is 'competing to win' globally for niche businesses to locate to Nova Scotia and to attract and retain talent in Nova Scotia.

The event was sponsored by Nova Scotia Business Inc and was supported by ECC's corporate partners Innovacorp, Insurance Bureau of Canada, Jump Careers, McInnes Cooper and Alexander Keith's.

Stephen was introduced by Scott McCain from Maple Leaf Foods. Stephen's short presentation on "Nova Scotia - Competing to Win" was followed by an engaging 45 minute Q&A with the attendees. Stephen continued to answer questions at the reception afterwards and the feedback from the event was fantastic.

Jennifer Chaisson from NSBI coordinated a great draw prize for the attendees and long time ECC member Michael Claener was the lucky name pulled from the draw and was the winner of a free flight from Porter Airlines and accommodations in Halifax.
