Actor, playwright, and director Graeme Gillis takes it all in. By day, this member of the Actor’s Studio can be found busily inspiring young dramatists as the Artistic Director of Youngblood, the company of emerging, under-30 playwrights at Ensemble Studio Theatre in New York City. By night, he’s probably channelling his experiences into a new play. Dalhousie Student named NS Volunteer of the Year

Halifax resident Sunisha Neupane has received Nova Scotia’s top award for volunteerism by the non-profit development agency CUSO-VSO. Neupane, who is originally from Nepal was honoured for her work on CUSO-VSO’s ‘Stand Up’ campaign which draws attention to world poverty. She is currently completing a double major in international development and chemistry at Dalhousie University. Read more

Just days after wrapping his third and final YouTube video instalment in his United Airlines trilogy recounting his now famous broken guitar story, Carroll got an extraordinary offer from New York. The province of Nova Scotia wants to be known as more than “Canada’s Ocean Playground”. An interactive campaign was launched this week by Bill Estabrooks, Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal, “Canada’s University Capital” campaign, aims to send a strong message to Ontario students that Nova Scotia is the education destination. Research in Motion to hire up to 50 Frederictonians

New Brunswick's provincial government is helping Chalk Media Corp. to hire up to 50 workers at its Fredericton office. The company is a subsidiary of Research In Motion (RIM).
