East Coast Connected "circulates" in New Brunswick

East Coast Connected went back to its roots with a tour across Atlantic Canada – meeting with business communities in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland & Labrador – to raise awareness of the organization and the opportunities it provides to Atlantic Canada's business, arts and academic communities outside the region. TORONTO - In the Fleck Atrium of the Rotman School of Management, Alyson Queen's spirited opening remarks set the tone for the first panel of speakers at the 2008 East Coast Connected Atlantic Business Summit. She reflected that "where you live should not define your success," and that in order to promote Atlantic Canadian prosperity, "we need to remove physical borders and perceived boundaries." Indeed, the "perception" of Atlantic Canada was a key focus of the panellists who followed. TORONTO - The 2008 East Coast Connected Atlantic Business Summit's panel discussion offered a fascinating glimpse into the emerging field of public-private partnerships (P3's). This discussion, moderated by Gordon Pitts, examined how a renewed focus on P3's could benefit the development of Atlantic infrastructure. Introductory remarks by New Brunswick Minister of Business Greg Byrne called for Atlantic Canadian cooperation in both political and economic sectors and the need to strike a balance between maintaining and upgrading infrastructure. East Coast Connected announces support of Daytrippers Children's Charity

East Coast Connected is pleased to announce their recent support of Daytrippers Children's Charity to provide educational school trips for underprivileged children in Grades 1-8 in Toronto and Halifax. At the East Coast Charity Ball on March 29th, East Coast Connected teamed with other expatriated Atlantic Canadians to collectively raise $1,200 to fund cultural day trips for children in Nova Scotia.
