During tough economic times, virtual assistants provide a cost efficient way to provide office administration.

The recession is raging, but one Newfoundland businesswoman says it could be an opportune time for her new virtual assistant business to thrive. Renee Cornick, owner of Virtuacity, says her business aims to streamline administrative services for small- and medium-sized business.

As the business grows, she expects her payroll will, too. She said the positions are great for stay-at-home parents, because they can do the work from their homes.
