East Coast Connected presents the Atlantic Business Summit in Toronto on May 28, 2008

Atlantic Business Summit will unite business, policy and academic leaders to examine business issues and opportunity in Atlantic Canada

East Coast Connected will partner with the Rotman School of Management and Dalhousie University to present the Atlantic Business Summit on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 in Toronto.

The Atlantic Business Summit will include panel discussions, a keynote address by the Honourable Frank McKenna and a reception showcasing innovative companies in Atlantic Canada. The half day event will feature four panel discussions with academic, industry and business leaders to examine key business issues and opportunities in the region.

East Coast Connected is pleased to present the following panels in partnership with the provincial governments of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador:

  • Making Atlantic Canada the work destination of choice for talented people
  • What will it take to transform Atlantic Canada's economy, so as to grow and prosper while protecting our unique culture?
  • Energy in Atlantic Canada - What is the future: Oil & Gas or Green?
  • New Models in Public Private Partnerships

The Honourable Frank McKenna, deputy chair of TD Bank Financial Group, will give the keynote address, "Towards Greater Cooperation: A Vision for Progress in Atlantic Canada."
