East Coast Connected Hosts New Brunswick Premier Shawn Graham in Toronto
TORONTO - East Coast Connected hosted New Brunswick Premier Shawn Graham in Toronto during the Premier's whirlwind tour of Toronto's business community. On February 20th, Premier Graham and Business New Brunswick Minister Greg Byrne launched a three-year plan to aggressively attract new investment to the province to fulfill the Province's goal of self-sufficiency in 2026.
While in Toronto, Premier Shawn Graham opened the Toronto Stock Exchange and spoke to a sold out crowd at the Economic Club of Toronto, communicating New Brunswick's strategy for self-sufficiency, economic revitalization and of the rich investment and professional opportunities in the region.
"East Coast Connected is pleased to host Premier Shawn Graham in Toronto," said Chris Crowell, founder and president of East Coast Connected. "The support and attendance at this event demonstrates the goodwill expatriated New Brunswickers and Atlantic Canadians have for the province and region. East Coast Connected is proud to partner in fostering these relationships."
New Brunswick Premier Shawn Graham, Minister Greg Byrne and New Brunswick ambassadors joined East Coast Connected for a reception in the heart of Toronto's financial district on Wednesday, February 20, 2008. With approximately 200 business leaders in attendance, the event provided an opportunity for expatriates from across Atlantic Canada - and New Brunswick specifically - to learn about the province's self-sufficiency, growth and repatriation initiatives.
