The East Coast Army is gearing up for a great spring full of activities that are guaranteed to be a "ball" of a time. Whether they're donning their finest party frocks or dusting off the golf clubs, spring is in the air in Toronto.

East Coast Charity Ball
The East Coast Army reminds the troops to get ready for the East Coast Charity Ball on Saturday, March 28th at the Berkley Church. This annual event brings out Atlantic Canadians from across the GTA for an east coast party in support of Daytrippers. Daytrippers is a charitable organization that helps finance field trip excursions for underprivelged children in Ontario and Atlantic Canada.

Alexander Keith’s will kick off the party and the launch of their latest brew at the event.

Show your Army colours on the field
The Army will also be expanding its programming over the coming months to include forming sports leagues, and we are looking “four-ward” to our first sporting offering. In preparation for a long awaited Spring - we're going green!

East Coast Army Golf Lessons
The Army will be offering a weekly golf league at Grand Highland Golf course beginning on May 27, 2009. The initial league will take place at the par 3 golf course located in Central Mississauga - minutes from Square One.

What’s included?

• 8 weeks of golf lessons - 3 weeks of full clinics and 5 weeks combining partial clinics and 9 holes

• Scoring & handicapping to track progress

• Full staff devoted to ECA: One Golf professional, two Golf pro apprentices and four caddies per hole (i.e. ball locators for those of us lacking a keen eye)

• Equipment rentals available upon request

• Equipment available for sale at discounted pricing

• Transportation may be arranged, based on demand

• Cost - $240 per player with 3 weeks scheduled for rain dates

• Sponsorship opportunities are available
