In what was East Coast Connected' first ever "Sold Out" event --- and quite apropos since there was "Standing Room Only" on February 27th, 2012 for 106 ECC members and VIP's to hear Hockey Canada's Chief Operating Officer, Scott Smith address the crowd in ECC's latest Coast & Cocktails business speakers event. Scott spoke about his passion for Atlantic Canada, the lessons that he learned from growing up in New Brunswick, how he has applied those lessons in his business career and had many hockey stories that kept the crowd mesmerized. On Saturday, February 4th - East Coast Connected (ECC) and presenting sponsor Alexander Keith's hosted 100+ people at the John Labatt Room Pub in downtown Toronto. It was ECC's second fundraising Good Cheer event. Not too many people complained that we sold 2 drinks for $5 all night. With a silent auction, lots of games and laughter, we lived the Atlantic Canadian theme of 'we work hard', 'we play hard' and 'we are generous', the event raised $5,000 for the Hospice Palliative Care Association of PEI.
